Mondo Builders goes green Will offer T-shirts at Green Fest
 ELMHURST -Elmhurst residential construction company Mondo Builders, Inc., is showing its true color.... Green. President of Mondo Builders and Elmhurst Lifer Steve Buonsante has a strong sense of community' and environmental awareness.

Buonsante, a graduate of York High School, has planted strong roots in the Elmhurst community with his wife and family. It is these roots that have given him a desire to live green and help other families live green too.

Mondo Builders, Inc is now offering LEED certification for all of its new construction projects. LEED is a program developed by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) with strict guidelines for green building. The most recent LEED project is the new single family home at 386 S. Mitchell in Elmhurst. This home features geothermal heating and cooling, renewable energy for domestic hot water, cellulose and open cell foam insulation, Energy Star Appliances, permeable pavers driveway, and many other green products.

With the 2nd annual Elmhurst Green Fest coming up on Saturday, August I in Wilder Park, green living has never been under a bigger spotlight.
